Join Sheila's foundation course in Patchwork and Quilting Techniques, where you will make a beautiful sampler quilt and learn a whole variety of piecing - and quilting - techniques.
You can now take this class online so you can work in your own space and at your own pace, and we also connect with Sheila and your fellow students in the weekly zoom meetings.
Starting in the first week of November 2023 and running weekly until the end of April, with a couple of breaks for catching up, this class features a full set of detailed online videos, pdf downloads, and weekly Zoom sessions where you can meet your classmates, ask any questions you have and troubleshoot any problems.
The sample quilt is approx. 60" x 60" , which is a good size for a double bed topper or lap quilt. However, you can make any size quilt (or other project) you like - students in the past have made anything from a footstool to a king size quilt (though I recommend you stay smaller if you are completely new to patchwork and/or quilting). Everyone has completed their project over the twelve years I have been teaching this course.
You will learn step by step, starting with simple blocks and gradually developing your skills as you build confidence, so that by the end you will be able to tackle any pattern using the techniques you will learn, including:
